English Toffee

    Ingredients

    1 cup chopped almonds
    1 cup butter
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    4 Hershey chocolate bars

    Directions

    Sprinkle 1/2 cup almonds in greased 9 x 12-inch
    pan.  Melt butter in saucepan.  Add sugar; mix
    well.  Boil for 12 minutes, stirring constantly.  Add
    remaining 1/2 cup almonds.  Pour hot mixture over
    almonds in pan.
    Place chocolate bars on top; spread to cover
    when melted.
