    Mushroom Sauce for Tenderloin

    Ingredients

    1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
    1/2 cup onion, sliced
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 cup beef broth
    1/2 cup dry red wine
    2 tsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. buter

    Directions

    Saute mushrooms in 2 Tbsp. butter for 10
    minutes.  In another pan saute onions in 2 Tbsp.
    butter.  Add beef broth and wine to onions.  
    Simmer covered for 20 minutes.  Mix flour and a
    few Tbsp. of liquid from onions.  Return this to
    onion mixture and thicken by boiling.  Add
    mushrooms to onions and broth.
