Bread Sauce for Partridge Ingredients 1 pint dried bread crumbs, very fine 1 small onion 2 cups milk 2 tsp. butter Salt Pepper Nutmeg Directions
onion and add 1/2 of the bread crumbs. Remove from fire and stir in butter and seasonings to taste. Brown remaining bread crumbs in butter and use them as a garnish for the sauce. |
