Barbeque Sauce 3

    Ingredients

    1 med. onion, chopped
    1/4 cup shortening
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    1Tbsp. lemon juice
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    Dash of salt
    1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 cup catsup
    3/4 cup water
    2 Tbsp. mustard
    1 Tbsp. white sugar

    Directions

    Brown onion in shortening in heavy saucepan; add
    remaining ingredients.  Cover and cook over low
    heat for 30 minutes.  Add cooked meat; cook for
    30 to 40 miunutes longer.
    Makes 2 cups.
