    Orange Buttermilk Jello Salad

    Ingredients

    1 - 20 oz. can crushed pineapple
    3 Tbsp. sugar
    6 oz. pkg. orange jello
    2 cups buttermilk
    8 oz. frozen whipped topping, thawed
    1 cup chopped nuts

    Directions

    In saucepan, combine pineapple and sugar; bring
    to a boil, stirring occasionally.  When mixture boils,
    immediately add jello and stir until dissolved.  
    Cool slightly; stir in buttermilk.  Chill until partially,
    set.  Fold in whipped topping and nuts.  Pour into
    lightly oiled 8 1/2 cup mold.  Chill overnight.
    Serves 12 to 16.
