Custard Pie Ingredients 4 eggs, beaten 1/2 cup sugar 2 1/2 cups milk, scalded 1/8 tsp. almond extract 1/4 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. vanilla 9-inch unbaked pie shell nutmeg Directions Chill pie shell while making filling. Blend eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla, and almond extract. Gradually stir in scalded milk. Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. Bake at 400 for 25 to 30 minutes or till knife inserted comes out clean. Cool on cooling rack 30 minutes; then chill in refrigerator. |
