    Sour Rye Pancakes

    Ingredients

    1/2 cup rye flour
    1/2 cup all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 cups buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 egg
    1 Tbsp. molasses
    1 Tbsp. grated orange zest


    Directions

    Combine flours, salt, and baking soda in large
    bowl.  Mix with a fork.  
    In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, oil, egg,
    molasses, and orange zest.  Pour liquid
    ingredients into flour mixture.  Whisk just to
    combine.  
    Drop batter, 1/4 cup at at time, on greased griddle.
