Gingerbread Waffles Ingredients 2 cups sifted flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. soda 2 tsp. ground ginger 1/2 cup sugar 2 large eggs, beaten 1/2 cup molasses 2/3 cup milk 1/2 cup shorteing, melted Directions Sift together the first 6 ingredients into a mixing bowl. Combine eggs and molasses and add to the dry mixture. Mix well. Stir in milk and shortening. Spoon batter onto lightly oiled waffle iron. Store batter in a covered container. It will keep 5 days. |
