Chicken and Tortillas Casserole

    Ingredients

    1/4 cup chopped onions
    1 can cream of chicken soup
    1 small can green chilies, chopped
    1 small can boned chicken or 1 cup cooked cut-up
    chicken
    6 to 8 corn tortillas

    Directions

    Fry onions in a small amount of fat until brown.  
    Add soup, green chilies, chicken and 1 soup can
    water.  Cook, stirring often, until mixture bubbles.  
    Remove from heat; set aside.  Line a casserole
    with corn tortillas.  Spoon chicken mixture over
    tortillas until covered.  
    Add a layer of cheese, tortillas and chicken
    mixture, ending with cheese on top.  
    Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 to 30 minutes.
    Makes 6 servings.
