    Oyster Soup

    Ingredients

    1 stick of butter
    2 cans chicken broth
    2 cans water
    5 Tbsp. flour
    bunch green onions
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    2 stalks celery
    1 Tbsp. soy sauce
    garlic powder
    salt
    pepper
    1 quart oysters
    milk

    Directions

    Chop onions and celery very fine.  Melt butter; add
    flour.  Do not brown.  Saute onions and celery in
    butter for about 4 minutes.  Add broth and water.  
    Add Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, salt,
    pepper and a dusting of garlic powder.  Boil gently
    for 30 minutes.  Add oysters, juice and enough
    milk to make the broth white.  Bring to slight boil
    until oysters curl.  Adjust seasoning.
