    Cream of Potato Soup

    Ingredients

    5 large potatoes
    1 medium to large onion, diced
    2 stalks celery, diced
    3 to 4 chicken bouillon cubes
    1 bay leaf
    1 1/2 to 2 cups milk
    cornstarch and water mixture
    3 cups Cheddar cheese
    5 slices bacon, crumbled
    Pepper to taste

    Directions

    Cook potatoes, onion, celery, chicken bouillon,
    and bay leaf in water, enough to cover all.  When
    vegetables are tender, add milk.  Add pepper to
    taste.  
    Add bacon.  
    Thicken soup with cornstarch and water mixture.  
    Add cheese, stirring until melted and is thoroughly
    mixed.  Simmer.
