    Cheese Soup

    Ingredients

    1 pint half & half
    13 1/2 oz. chicken broth
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. dry mustard
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    White pepper
    1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, greated
    8 oz. stale beer


    Directions

    Heat half & half and broth.  Mix together in bowl:  
    butter, cornstarch, salt, mustard, pepper and
    sugar.  Add chreese and beer to mixture, add to
    broth.  Heat but do not boil, stirring with wire wisk.  
    Sprinkle with a little more grated cheese.
