Black Walnut Sour Cream Fudge

    Ingredients

    3/4 to 1 cup sour cream
    Milk (opt.)
    2 cup sugar
    2 Tbsp. white corn syrup
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 cup chopped black walnuts

    Directions

    Thin sour cream with milk if necessary until
    consistency of thick whipping cream.  Combine
    sugar, syrup, butter and sour cream in saucepan;
    cook over medium or low heat to soft-ball stage.  
    Cool; add vanilla and pour onto buttered platter.
    Do not spread.  
    Top will be glossy and uneven.
    Cut into 3/4 inch squares when firm.
