Fruit-Nut Filling
2/3 cup ground apricots 3/4 cup sugar 1 cup water 1/3 cup chopped nuts 1 Tbsp. lemon juice 1 tsp. grated lemon rind Directions Combine apricots, sugar, and water in saucepan. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times. Cool fruit mixture. Add nuts, lemon juice and rind, stirring well. Spread between sliced cake layers. |
