Colonade Icing
4 1/2 cups sugar 1 cup water 6 Tbsp. white corn syrup 6 egg whites 1/3 cup powdered sugar Directions Mix sugar, water and syrup. Cook to soft-ball stage. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry. Slowly add hot sugar-syrup mixture to egg whites, beating constantly until icing is like cream. Add powdered sugar. |
