    Soft Christmas Sugar Cookies

    Ingredients

    2 cups sugar
    1 cup butter
    2 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 cup milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
    2 tsp. baking soda
    5 cups flour
    1/2 tsp. salt

    Directions

    Cream sugar and butter.  Mix remaining
    ingredients and add to creamed mixture.  Chill for
    about a half hour.  Roll out on minimal flour to 1/8
    to 1/4 inch thick.  Cut into shapes with cookie
    cutters.
    Bake at 400 for 6 to 8 minutes.
    Cool.
    Frost and decorate.
