Amish Cookies

    Ingredients

    1 cup white sugar
    1 cup powdered sugar
    1 cup oleo
    1 cup cooking oil
    2 eggs
    4 1/2 cups flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Directions

    Combine the first 4 ingredients and cream well;
    beat in eggs.  Sift dry ingredients and add to the
    mixture.  Add vanilla.  Form small balls and place
    on ungreased cookie sheet.  (Make balls quite
    small as they spread.)  Flatten with glass.
    Bake 10 to 12 minutes at 325.
