Pumpkin Nut Bread

    Ingredients

    1/2 cup soft butter
    1/2 cup shortening
    2 2/3 cup sugar
    4 eggs
    2 cups pumpkin
    3 1/2 cups flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 cup chopped nuts
    2/3 cup cold strong coffee

    Directions

    Cream butter, shortening, and sugar.  Add eggs, 1
    at a time, mix well after each.  Blend in pumpkin.  
    Sift dry ingredients.  Add nuts.  Stir into creamed
    mixture, alternately with coffee.  Bake in greased
    loaf pans at 375 for 1 hour.
