Prune Bread

    Ingredients

    2 cups sugar
    1 cup oil
    3 eggs
    1 cup buttermilk
    1 cup chopped, cooked prunes
    1 tsp. baking powder
    2 cups flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. allspice
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 cup chopped nuts

    Directions

    Mix sugar, oil, eggs, buttermilk and chopped
    prunes together.  Sift flour and remaining
    ingredients together and add to the first mixture.  
    Bake 1 hour at 350 degrees in well oiled loaf pans.
