Bran Muffins

    Ingredients

    2 cups all-bran
    4 cups Bran Buds
    5 cups flour
    3 cups sugar
    5 tsp. baking soda
    3 tsp. salt
    1 quart buttermilk
    2 cups boiling water
    1 cup shortening
    4 eggs

    Directions

    Combine all-bran, Bran Buds and boiling water; let
    set.  
    Cream sugar and shortening.  Add eggs, flour, salt
    and the soda in buttermilk.  Add to bran mixture.  
    Bake at 375 for 25 minutes.
