Butterflake Biscuits

    Ingredients

    2 cups flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 cup & 2 Tbsp. butter
    1/3 cup milk
    2 eggs, well beaten

    Directions

    Sift dry ingredients, cut in butter with a pastry
    blender.  Mix well eggs, and milk, add to mixture
    and mix lightly with fork.  Shape dough into ball
    and turn out on lightly floured surface.  
    With a rolling pin, roll into a rectangle about 1/2
    inch thick.  Fold dough into thirds and roll into
    oblong two more times.  With dough 1/2 inch thick,
    cut into 2 inch diameter biscuits.
    Bake at 475 degrees until biscuits are puffed and
    goldenbrown.
    Makes about 16 biscuits.
