Prunella Cake
1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 eggs 1 1/2 cups flour 1/2 tsp. salt 2/3 cup buttermilk 1 tsp. soda 2/3 cup pitted stewed prunes Icing: 1/2 stick butter 2 Tbsp. lemon juice 2 Tbsp. prune juice 1 tsp. cinnamon 2 1/2 cup sugar Directions Mix ingredients together and add prunes last. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. For frosting, mix ingredients together. Put icing on cake while cake is hot. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top. |
